Music

Music is an intrinsic part of every society. Fostering a love and knowledge of music begins in preschool and continues into the junior high. Music classes emphasize basic music theory, including music vocabulary and techniques with a variety of instruments from the recorder to percussion instruments. Studies show that music programs help develop higher level brain activity which often translates to success in the classroom. In addition, musical knowledge gives students an additional avenue of self-expression.
